Chris' mission is "to unleash resources by uniting individuals, families and businesses to impact the City of Cincinnati and cities across the world." Struck by the importance of this message during college, Chris decided he'd devote his career to incorporating his finance major with a business model that supported his passion for philanthropy. Ultimately, his work is about achieving both financial returns and social impact.
It didn't take long for Chris to have an immediate mark on the City of Cincinnati through his work. Upon graduation, Chris joined The Paragon Financial Group, where he got his start being mentored in advanced charitable estate planning. During this time, he began working with senior leadership within MassMutual, a life insurance company, to bring its billion dollar LifeBridge program, which provides free life insurance to underprivileged families for the educational expenses of children, to the Cincinnati community. After months of organizing, Chris, with the help of volunteer co-workers, provided $1 million of free life insurance to those who might never have had the ability to own personal coverage for their families.
Since 2009 Chris has written for various nonprofit organizations and has been called upon six times by the University of Cincinnati's Economics Center for Education & Research as a featured speaker for the program "Why Money Matters." In addition, Chris worked with United Way of Greater Cincinnati's Emerging Leaders Society to create a personal finance podcast, "IGNITE: Your Wealth, Your Life, Your World." Most recently, Chris was voted by members of the Cincinnati community to speak at the Ignite Cincinnati event in front of more than 400 people.
Originally from the Chicago area, Chris has become entrenched in the Cincinnati community, serving on boards and actively participating in local organizations. As his mission states, Chris is constantly looking for ways to incorporate his passion for philanthropy, domestically and internationally. Two years ago, Chris spent two weeks traveling to cities around teh western region of Tula in Russia to help train church leaders and speak to youth. Most recently in the summer of 2010, Chris spent a week in Monterrey, Mexico working with orphanages and helping business leaders to develop sustainable social enterprises that would be a funding source for orphan care. Chris is a member of the Greater Cincinnati Planned Giving Council. Chris currently lives in Mt. Lookout in Cincinnati.
