Planning a wedding is an exciting, yet daunting task for even the most organized bride. Everything that goes into planning one of the most important days of your life shouldn't have to make you crazy, right?

 

Fortunately, Christy Schimpf can help you create the wedding of your dreams. Schimpf is the publisher of the Bride & Groom Planner, which has helped thousands of brides over its four years of existence. "It is the complete planning resource for the busy bride and groom," says Schimpf.

 

Schimpf purchased the local Bride & Groom Planner franchise in 2009 from its previous owner of 12 years, and took it into a new direction. "It's much prettier now, and I've gained a lot more exposure for it."

 

Today, Bride & Groom Planner is a publication that provides brides with everything they need and want for their wedding. The planner sells 20,000 copies a year giving brides tips and helpful hints with every aspect of their wedding. Bride & Groom Planner has redesigned their website and created a strong social media presence to help brides plan their perfect day.

"Since the planner has been in my hands, we have more than tripled our business. We revamped the entire planner, redesigned the website, and have gotten very social on social media," explains Schimpf. "We have increased our overall awareness with our distribution."

 

Bride & Groom Planner provide couples all the tools and resources needed to plan their wedding. They also have a Very Important Brides (VIB) Club that every bride is eligible for.

 

"Women can come in and register with us, and we send them an email every month to see where they are in the planning process and ask if they need anything. It's a planning tool for the bride on the go," explains Schimf. Those that are a member of the VIB club are also eligible for a $10,000 giveaway.

 

Since Schimf has owned the business, she has expanded their marketing and advertising to give the brides many options for every detail of the wedding. "We are all about connecting brides with the necessary resources to give them their perfect day," says Schimf. "We truly want to help people and give the best products to brides."

 

Bride & Groom Planner also promotes and sponsors events they believe will help their brides. "We promote all the events that are good for us in addition to our advertising. We attend bridal shows and help market information that will help brides."

 

The success Schimf has seen with Bridal & Groom Planner in Cincinnati has given her the dream to franchise the business nationwide. "We already have a few franchises in other cities, but our long term goal is to have Bride & Groom Planner all across the United States."

 

Even though Schimf has the ultimate goal of making Bridal & Groom Planner a nationwide franchise, she understands the importance of keeping the planner local. "We want to keep the business as localized as possible. We started in Cincinnati and have kept the Cincinnati publication local to its residents. No matter what city we go to, the planner will maintain the unique touches that each city has."

 

Schimf attributes the uniqueness and success of Bridal & Groom Planner to her and her staff’s dedication and hard work. "We have interns and staff that are the same age as all the girls we are helping. They all come from marketing backgrounds, and we all have the desire to help brides have a wonderful day through accessing the best resources to make their planning process as simple as possible."
