Casablanca Vintage
These days, vintage is the new black. And there's one place in town - Casablanca Vintage Clothing - that houses the largest collection of classic apparel and accessories in the area.
Its two floors are full of funky vintage outfits and accessories, ranging from glamorous vintage furs, silk gowns and long gloves to outrageous seventies garb, polyester suits and Elton John-esque glasses.
"We have clothing from the 1920s thru 1980s, theater costuming, commercial production as well as a shoe repair and leather repair," says Teddy Atkins, who has owned Casablanca Vintage Clothing for the past three years.
While Casablanca Vintage Clothing has been opened for 12 years here in Cincinnati, Atkins says vintage is en vogue now more than ever. "Everyone has always liked vintage, but with today's style being geared more towards 1980's clothes, more people are interested in vintage," he explains. "Vintage clothes give you the option from different eras, making it much more personable. My favorite era for clothes is the 1970s."
Atkins notes that many local playhouses in Cincinnati use Casablanca Vintage Clothing as a valuable resource for period clothing, as they rent out a large selection of their inventory for events or productions.
According to Atkins, the store features a different sale each month. To visit for yourself, Casablanca Vintage is located at 3944 Spring Grove Avenue in Northside. Learn more at casablancavintage.com. More articles by this author
