"Functionally fabulous" is the foundation on which Lisa Robin Jewelry was built. That's because founder Lisa Adkinson, a Dayton-based jewelry designer, wanted each piece to complement and interchange with other pieces in the line.

"Each piece is thoughtfully designed with built-in flexibility," says Adkinson. "You can really get creative and find your own personal style with Lisa Robin Jewelry because each item can be worn in multiple ways."

For example, the line offers five different shapes and sizes of hoop earrings, which accommodate 40 different enhancers in five gemstone colors. "Then, when not being worn on the hoops," Adkinson explains, "the enhancers can also be worn on a chain as a pendant."

Fashioned by hand in the U.S. from oxidized sterling silver, gold, and a variety of colors of topaz, sapphire, and diamonds, Adkinson's designs make a fashion statement and start conversation. Each design is very personal to Adkinson, as most are inspired by architecture, fashion, art, and interior design she sees on her travels around the world.

For example, Lisa Robin’s signature collection, the Portale pieces take their name from the Italian word for "doorway," after Adkinson was inspired by a wrought-iron lintel above a doorway on a quiet street in Florence. Adkinson then created "The Paisley Collection" after researching its ancient symbolism for eternity. Other collections include the Cordoba, which takes its name from the Spanish city of Córdoba, and Tekke which draws inspiration from Turkmen decorated carpets.

Adkinson keeps an active blog, Facebook Fanpage and Twitter account to update her clients, fans and followers on her world travels and design inspirations.

Watch the below webcast to see the unique designs and versatility in action, as Adkinson demonstrates various styling concepts of a few classic pieces. To learn more about Lisa Robin Jewelry, visit www.lisarobinjewelry.com.
