Lucas Przybysz, Sableux Salon & Spa's assistant general manager

Salons are in the business of revamping their clients' looks every day. But, as they say, the cobbler's children have no shoes.

Sableux Salon & Spa opened for business in Crestview Hills 13 years ago, and hasn't been renovated or remodeled since. That is, until now.

According to Lucas Przybysz, Sableux's assistant general manager, a major renovation of the salon began in November 2011 and the finished product is ready to be revealed. They're hosting a Grand Re-Opening event on September 29 where, Przybysz says, his team will be "ready to debut Sableux to the world."

The remodel features several new changes. Przbysz says they've "added custom-designed hairstylist stations, the floors were completely changed, the walls have a complete new color, new lighting, and all the décor has been updated and changed." The salon's lobby also got a new look, complete with a new front desk, sitting area and additional shelves to feature products and retail items.

The spa side of the business also got what Przbysz called an "extreme makeover," with new equipment, bedding and décor. With the new modern look, Przbysz is looking forward to an improved experience for clients and boosted morale for the staff.

In attendance at the Grand Re-Opening event will be celebrity stylist, George Papanikolas. He's styled stars such as Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, and Nicole Richie and was recently featured in in Lucky and Vanity Fairmagazines. Event attendees will have the opportunity to meet him and learn styling tips from presentations he'll be offering throughout the evening.

Sableux will also feature models at the event, who will display styles and make-up of old and new Hollywood. The theme of the event is "red carpet" so the models will be wearing gowns from Fabulous Bridal and faux fur overlays from Donna Salyers' Fabulous Furs.

Valuable prizes will also be up for grabs at the event. "We will be giving away not only free samples, but hundreds of free products," explains Przbysz. Guests will be able to meet with manufacturers and get some great deals on retail products such as Joico, Sebastian, Wella, Moroccan Oil, OPI, and Clinical Care. The goodies don't stop there. You can also enjoy a complimentary wine bar, appetizers and a DJ.

Przbysz says that the event is prepared to host 500 people. So, if you'd like to attend, all you need to do it call the salon at (859) 341-1656 and RSVP with the desk staff.
