Helping in Style
The Limited staff excitedly opens the The Limited, a clothing empire built from the ground up in Columbus, Ohio is adding a new Cincinnati storefront to its arsenal. The store's grand opening at the Crestview Hills Town Center will kick off Friday, July 20, with a ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled at 12pm.
The ceremony, however, is celebrating more than just an additional location. It's also meant to celebrate a partnership with The Women's Fund of Greater Cincinnati. The organization, founded by Les McNeill, serves as a fundraiser for programs that help women and girls in Cincinnati. This "women helping other women" mentality has taken the organization a long way. The first grants were given to the Girl Scouts, The Women's Connection, and others in the estimated amount of $35,000. Since then, The Women's Fund has only grown, helping more and more women's organizations to obtain financing aid.
"The Limited and The Women’s Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation have partnered together to empower women and girls in the Greater Cincinnati area to find their own of personal success and define their true inner style," says Megan Severs, representative for The Limited. "The Limited will offer a 40 percent discount off each purchase during opening weekend and will be donating a portion of all sales from the opening weekend to The Women’s Fund."
According to Severs, The Limited prides itself on the social responsibility of creating clothes in a safe, law-abiding work environment, and has been known to be very active in the communities where they thrive. Choosing to partner with The Women's Fund helps maintain the foundation's motto, "enhancing the lives of women and girls," in a big way.
The ribbon cutting on July 20 will be attended by executives from both The Limited and The Women's Fund. The ceremony will also feature a fashion-forward tour of the new retail location, a sneak peek of the latest fall trends and networking with local fashion bloggers.
