After the runaway success of "Wine, Women and Shoes" last year, Impact 100 and Saks Fifth Avenue are teaming up again to throw a new event to support Impact 100's efforts called "Shopping for Impact."

"Wine, Women and Shoes was a one time, pre-canned event that was extremely succesful last year," says Impact 100 board member, Kristie Sheanshang. "Instead of fundraising each year, Impact 100's mission is to empower women to dramatically improve lives by collectively funding significant grants that make a lasting impact in our community."

This year, Shopping for Impact will do just that, so this is a fundraiser that can't be missed for both the fun of the event and the sustainable cause it supports -- the Cincinnati community. The event, which will be on May 24 from 6 to 8 p.m., includes wine, hors d'oeurves and complimentary valet service.

And the best part? It gives you a valid excuse to splurge. Ten percent of all sales will go straight back to Impact 100, so finally getting that awesome BCBG dress you've been pining for will pay off in more ways than one. Additionally, making a $25 reservation beforehand gets you a $25 Saks gift card, which can be used at any time.

Saks will also put on a show focusing on fashion for work, play and everything in between. "A runway show focusing on Ways to Dress that Transition from Work to Dinner will be presented by Sak's," according to Impact 100's fact sheet about the event. "Keep your eyes open for makeup artists to give you a quick 'lip of the season' or 'smoky eyes.'"

Most importantly, a winner of the 2010 Impact 100 grant will give an address to talk about how beneficial the grant was both to the project and the community. People who'd like to attend can RSVP on Impact's 100 website.
