Oh yes, the everyday grind: work, deadlines, traffic, relationships, drama or have to haves. What would life be without the constant list of things to do or the streaming voice in our minds? Stress comes in different amounts, but no matter what it does take a toll on the body.

Can you imagine a day without it? Well, here it is and right in the TriState area. Many day and medical spas are becoming the answer to life's woes, even if for small amounts of time. Equipped with services, treatments and packages, these getaways deliver a remedy of relaxation, rejuvenation and renewal without breaking the piggy bank. Here's a look at a few in Greater Cincinnati:

Avalon Salon
3848 Paxton Rd. Hyde Park Plaza

Driving by Avalon Salon in the Hyde Park plaza certainly does not do this place justice. Once you walk in, you realize just how big – 4,800 square feet, to be exact – this beautiful salon actually is. It's a full service salon and a physician-supervised medical spa. In addition, Avalon is one of only a few select salons across the country to carry Kerastase, an exclusive French Hair Care Line.

Bajon Salon
6072 West Chester Road

Winner of the Cincinnati City Search of Day Spas and Best Day Spa in Cincinnati 2006 and 2007. The list of treatments is endless. Hair, nail, massages and more make this spa the place to be for a day away from it all. Need the ultimate spa day? Go for the spa's "Ultimate Escape!" For six and a half hours of full pampering you get: one hour full body massage, a facial, cut and style, conditioning treatment, manicure/pedicure, makeup and lunch.

Nvogue Medi Spa
9443 Civic Centre Boulevard in West Chester

Choose between a variety of body treatments and services, such as Citrus Delight, Tea Time, or Sports Buff Body Treatments. If water is the way to relieve you of the everyday stress, opt for the Sea Salt Glow from the Wet Spa. Imagine yourself dripped with warm hazelnut oil followed with a Swedish massage and moisturizer. All for $140.

Paragon Salon
Three locations: 6775 Harrison Avenue, 401 Race Street in a new location in downtown Cincinnati and 12064 Montgomery Road

Talk about treatment! Paragon stylists keep busy with hair, nail and other services. However, if you are looking for more, indulge in Paragon's "Day of Beauty." This package includes a full body massage, European facial, spa manicure, pedicure, conditioning treatment, design cut, finish and makeup for only $295.

Sablueux Salon and Spa
2808 Turkeyfoot Road Crestview Hills, Ky.

This salon offers packages from hair, skin, nails and body treatments. Plan your getaway with the Sableux ÒUltimate Day. This package includes an herbal steam treatment, one hour Swedish massage, European facial, manicure/pedicure, shampoo, makeup and lunch. Only $305.

Woodhouse Day Spa
9370 Montgomery Road

Haven't heard of this one yet? It's brand new, and Cincy Chic is the first to tell you about it! This day spa, which is part of a nationwide chain, has a unique angle: all products are "au naturale." In fact, says owner Chris Mann, "You could eat any of the products we use." From the Woodhouse brand foot scrubs to facial creams, all products are certified organic and natural, which is especially good for the growing number of vegans and vegetarians out there – after all, your skin is your largest organ!
