Ask Rocco: Why are Some Men so Macho?
Rocco gets grilled by a reader wondering why he acts so macho. He gives some insight into his manly man persona.

Question: What is with your silly super-macho pose in your picture? Is there some masculine attribute that you lack that you are trying to make up for by being as outrageously masculine as possible? Seriously, you give good, frank answers, and you seem like a cool, smart guy, but gee whiz, give us a break!

Answer: Obviously someone woke up this morning feeling a little inadequate themselves. I think you have answered your own question here. The reason for the “silly” super-macho pose is because I am obviously, you guessed it, super-macho, I just can’t help it. It's great genetics. No there is no lack of masculine attributes, it’s all me 100 percent outrageously masculine. I know it’s amazing, but true.

It’s so hard being this masculine, but I do find ways to cope, like answering stupid friggin’ questions like this one. Do yourself a favor and realize there’s more to life than worrying about a promotional photo printed in a newspaper, on a Web site or online magazine. If you like the information, use it. If you don’t like the photo, draw a mustache, some breasts, maybe devil’s horns on it, and call it a day. Now go back to coloring...and stay within the lines. Your mommy should be by to pick you up shortly.
