Expanding into College Hill Read on for more about why 4th Street Boutique's customers are giving thanks that it has a new location in College Hill and more on the boutique's holiday plans.
This move has gotten a great response from many members of the communiy, Irbin says. "It's been very good – every time people come in, they say they're happy we're out here," she says. "The community is very excited about us being out there. The traffic here has been really good."
Although both locations carry the same items, there is a slight difference in the layout of the two stores, Irbin says. "When [College Hill] first opened, we didn't have a clearance section or designer itmes or coats, but we brought a clearance section – it's not like the basement downtown where nothing is over $5 – we wanted it to be a little different than the basement. In the clearance corner, everything is 75 percent off."
The boutique has begun to lay out its winter merchandise, which Irbin says she is personally excited about. "We have nice coats, sweaters, nice winter things. We even have a few boots here. I like the furs, the fur shawls," Irbin says.
The boutique also gears up for the holiday season with a few different sales and holiday hours. Right now, everything except jewelry is 25 percent off, and the store will be open on Wednesdays now in addition to the regular Thursday, Friday, Saturday schedule. On December 1, the boutique will have a holiday party that will result in some kind of to-be-determined discount, Irbin says. More articles by this author
