Sounds delish.

One of the major aspects of your health and body fat percentage is the processing of foods that you eat. We can talk till we're blue in the face about what kind of "diet" is best, but the truth is that "high protein," "low fat" and "low carb" don't matter as much as if your diet is made up of foods that are natural, unprocessed and as close as possible to the way they are found in nature.

We have been duped into believing that instant, fast, pre-made foods will somehow make us thin and healthy. If you check out your grocery store frozen food isle, people purchase "diet dinners" that in reality are adding on the pounds. Processed diet dinners are full of preservatives, high fructose corn syrup, processed flours, synthetic fillers, soy protein and the worst kind of fats. These foods will cause inflammation, stimulate the insulin response (which causes you to store fat), and do nothing for you nutritionally. That's how so many people end up gaining weight from what they think are diet foods.

Thousands of years ago people were rarely obese. They had to work hard to get food to eat and in the process burned up whatever calories they consumed.

We now live in a different kind of society where food is extremely easy to obtain, but we are not designed to function in that environment. We no longer have to spend our days hunting and searching out food. There is abundance everywhere we look.

While the reasons we gain weight are numerous, there are primary reasons for the excess fat that we carry around. If we remove the food that causes fat storage and drop the overly processed, fattening foods, we would transform our lives.

Our bodies, since the days of cavemen, were made to function best on whole, unprocessed foods, good quality proteins, healthy fats, and fruits and vegetables. If we can get back to a diet as close as possible to our ancestors, we will have the lean, strong bodies that we strive for. Want to learn more? Google "Paleolithic diet."

By the way, that food up there you're wondering about? It's a BK Strawberry Milkshake. That's right, no strawberries and no milk.
