We really need LOTS of volunteers for this event.
It is a great opportunity to have fun, see a triathlon/duathlon in action, and
help with a very important cause. Please distribute this to any friends,
family or groups that would be interested in helping or need community service
hours, like swim teams, track/cross country teams, boy scout/girl scout troops,
high school students, churches, synagogues, football/soccer teams, etc.
Anyone you can think of.
We need volunteers for the following jobs:
·
giving out medals,
·
time chip retrieval,
·
water bottle distribution, and
directing to post race food, massage and vendor booths (7-10 people
needed),
·
Registration/Packet Pick UP the
morning of the race (10-15 people needed),
·
Hydration stations at transition
and in the middle of the run (5-8 people needed for each station=10-16
total),
·
helping athletes transition from
water to transition zone, in and out of transition zone, on the bike and run
courses to direct athletes (20-30 people needed),
·
Post Race food Set up and
distribution (5-7 people needed),
·
Registration/Packet Pick up on Saturday July 10 3-7 pm at
Fleet Feet Sports at the corner of Cooper and Kenwood Roads in Blue Ash, and Thursday,
7/15 and Friday 7/16 from 4-7 pm and Saturday 7/17 9-12 at Venus--A Fitness
Studio for Her in Montgomery (9401 Montgomery Road, 45242)—note new location
and times
·
And stuffing bags
On the sign up sheet there are times specified for the above jobs. The first race starts at 7:30 AM.
Athletes usually arrive about 1 hour
before the race due to the amount of set up they require. Therefore promptness
is really important. Because there are 3 separate start times
(the kids don’t start until 11), volunteers can be staggered throughout the
morning, however we need the numbers above for the adult races (until about
11:00). Then another smaller crew
can come in to refresh the group.
Last year people were really burned out by the time the Kid’s event came
around, so having fresh bodies is really important.
This event is fast approaching so time is of the
essence. Please distribute this to as many people as you
can or even to your company. They can get great exposure!! Have
them contact me as soon as possible if they need more information. I need a final
head count by July 1st!! If you want to represent an organization you can wear
shirts representing your group while volunteering. We will try to group
you together. WE WILL PROVIDE FREE SHIRTS TO
ALL VOLUNTEERS!
Thank you for your efforts to provide volunteers. This is a
wonderful opportunity to provide community service and getting great exposure
for your organization!
Be well and Healthy Regards,
