Get More than What You Pay For
Some local membership programs offer extra benefits. Discover the deals that can keep you having fun and saving money even when you leave the Queen City.

Many memberships give "one-stop shop" a different meaning as they only include one stop in your membership package. Three local membership programs expand your horizons with their outside-the-box offerings.

Cincinnati Museum Center

Cincinnati Museum Center offers three museums at Union Terminal in their membership program. So you can visit the Cincinnati History Museum, the Museum of Natural History & Science Museum, and the Duke Energy Children's Museum for free with your membership for an entire year.

With this membership, you also receive discounted or free admission into reciprocal programs that match each of those three museums. So to match the natural history and science, enjoy the ASTC (Association of Science & Technology Centers) Passport Program. The Passport Program hooks you up with free general admission to participating museums across the country at least 90 miles away from the Museum Center. 062110_RELISH_INSTORY.GIF

Heading to Chicago anytime soon? Check out one of the six participating museums in the Windy City alone. You even can see the actual oarfish shown in a photo at the Newport Aquarium if you travel to Los Angeles at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County (Talk about a long sea creature, this oarfish measures some 18 feet!).

The history side of your membership pairs with the Time Travelers Reciprocal Program. So feel free to check out one of the 270 participating museums and organizations in 41 different states through the country.

Finally, you can have fun with the kids with the ACM (Association of Children's Museums) Reciprocal Program. This program connects you to museums in 41 states and Canada.

Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens

At the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens your annual membership gives you more than just free admission to the zoo for a year. You also receive free admission to the PNC Festival of Lights holiday event. Throughout the year, your 25 percent discount on food and 10 percent discount at the gift shop will come in handy as you grab a Skyline coney or a scoop of UDF ice cream or buy a souvenir.

Similar to the Cincinnati Museum Center, the Cincinnati Zoo offers a reciprocal program with zoos across the country. With your Cincinnati Zoo membership, you receive at least half off your admission to the participating zoos. Located as far away as Hawaii's Friends of Waikiki Aquarium and as close as the Columbus and Louisville zoos, you can find furry friends to see all over the country.

For more information about membership options, visit CincinnatiZoo.org.
