Recognized by "Good Morning America" as one of the country's highest rated spas, The Kerr House offers various programs to meet the needs of its guests. Ranging from one-day to five-night programs, these offerings fit a variety of schedules. No matter which program a guest chooses, however, she will experience the preventative measures embraced by The Kerr House.
"Our country also focuses a great deal on medications and doing things after you're ill, and those are very important," Director Laurie Hostetler says. "But if you can take care of yourself and prevent yourself from becoming ill by eating right and exercising wisely, I think that it makes a big difference."
Beyond the food, meals serve as a relaxation time for the guests. Breakfasts are served in bed, and visitors eat dinner over candle light. A harpist adds a musical touch to every dinner as well.
In addition to meals, The Kerr House promotes wellness through yoga lessons. Each program entails a yoga lesson, which can complement any exercise routine. Hostetler herself has engaged in some intense exercise ranging from fencing classes to backpacking down the Grand Canyon and back. The Kerr House also provides healing spa services in each program. From massages and facials to whirlpools and saunas, each guest gets the chance to unwind through some treatments.
