Chic Spotlight: Millionaire Matchmaker Nicci Sprouse
Love is in the air, and this local matchmaker is harnessing that romance for some of the city's most eligible bachelors. Learn how she helps Cincinnatians find their "one and only."

Cincy Chic: How did you end up working at a matchmaking service for millionaires?

Nicci Sprouse, director of member services for The A List: I have been matchmaking my friends long before I joined The A list. With my vast networking contacts, becoming a matchmaker for The A List was a natural progression for me. There is nothing more exciting than matching your single friends and then seeing an actual connection transpire! Now I am using my skills to find companions for my millionaire bachelors, who are successful, affluent men that would like to meet single, very attractive and interesting women for dating or a long-term committed relationship to share in their success.

Cincy Chic: You work to match millionaire bachelors with eligible bachelorettes, so how do you find the women?

Sprouse: My bachelors have me on a mission to find Cincinnati's most sought after, beautiful and classy single women. When not hosting recruiting events throughout the city, I generally find all my female members through networking and referrals. The A List is an exclusive and confidential matchmaking service. Thus far, we have gained most our members and bachelors through people who hear about our service that either have a family member or a friend they would love to see matched up with a successful, accomplished bachelor.

Cincy Chic: With so many people looking for love, what is the process for making it a reality for your clients?

Sprouse: For our female members, the process is a win-win situation. They are in complete control. Their contact information is only given to bachelors they choose to meet. In addition, part of the allure of our service is our confidentiality. Since The A List is not online dating, we really can give our female members and our bachelors the ability to date with confidence and without compromise. I work closely with each bachelor to understand who they are as a person and what they are ultimately looking for in a relationship.

Cincy Chic: Why do you think love is so important in our lives?

Sprouse: Life is too short. Life without love is even shorter. Speaking for my bachelors, not having someone to enjoy their success with doesn't allow them to fully appreciate life. It is so important to have someone special, someone to confide in and share all of life's highs and lows. At the end of the day love is important in all our lives, and that's exactly why all my clients come to me for help.

Cincy Chic: This is for our Relationship issue, so what advice do you have for Cincy Chic readers on finding and keeping a Valentine?

Sprouse: Let's start with "Finding a Valentine." Obviously, you could contact me and fill out a preliminary application to see if you are eligible for a membership with The A List. I have fabulous bachelors just waiting to be matched up with a gorgeous, fascinating woman just like you!

If you are interested in finding a Valentine on your own, then I suggest you break your routine and do something out of character. First, get a new hair style, maybe a manicure or pedicure, buy a new outfit — something that ultimately makes you feel beautiful and confident. Next, I would suggest grabbing a few of your girlfriends and go out. If going out isn't appealing to you, maybe try enrolling in a cooking class or join a gym and try Pilates or yoga. It's all about stepping outside of your comfort zone. By trying something new, you are not only building your self-confidence, which is always appealing to a single guy, but you are also giving yourself an opportunity to meet someone new by putting yourself out there.

Keeping your Valentine is another story!

Cincy Chic: When you're not playing cupid, how do you have fun?

Sprouse: More than anything, I love spending time with my 6-year-old daughter. Whether it be shopping together at Kenwood Towne Centre and, of course, going to Build-A-Bear (that's always a given in her mind!) and Justice, playing games, or helping her with homework, we always have a good time.

Some of my other favorite things to do are having lunch dates with my girlfriends or meeting them for happy hour. I think it is really important to stay in touch with your girlfriends. Personally, my girlfriends ground me and help keep me centered. I would be lost without their support; advice; and most importantly, their entertainment!

Cincy Chic: What do you love most about Cincinnati?

Sprouse: For me, it's not so much about where I am but rather who I am with. I have been blessed with many lifelong friends here. Not being from Cincinnati, when I moved here 12 years ago I was nervous it would be difficult making friends, but I was wrong! Generally when moving to a new city it is hard to find your niche and meet new people. I never had a problem with that living here. I have so many amazing friends that I am especially thankful for and that is what I love most about Cincinnati!
