Turning Beauty Inside Out
Home is where the heart is, and that's where beauty should be too, so this local massage therapist brings the spa to you as you celebrate life with friends.

Four women called themselves the Massage Musketeers. The ladies met every six weeks at a different musketeer's house, and they celebrated life with dinner, wine, dessert and a night of relaxation. (They're not called the Massage Musketeers for nothing!) So they hired licensed massage therapist Jennifer Ross to share in the experience as the relaxation maven.

The women would don robes, grab glasses of wine and sit around in a circle. Upon request, Ross set up her massage table in the middle of the circle so that each woman was able to join in the conversation as she took her turn for a half-hour massage.

"When I would leave their home, I felt great. It was having that 'omm' feeling," Ross says, and she felt that everybody should have a chance to experience that, so she started omm… at home.

instory_JennLynn.gif Omm… brings the spa to you with spa parties. While Ross works out the knots in your life through massage, a nail artist can give another party guest a manicure and an esthetician can provide relaxation and beautification through a facial.

No matter the services, omm… seeks to provide healing, wellness and happiness without the pressure of product pushing. And while Ross is up for larger groups, her experience has shown that two to eight people works best for the relaxing atmosphere that allows everyone to be themselves. "Not only do the services that I can technically provide enhance your outer beauty, but hopefully the effect of both massage and hanging out with your friends would help your inner beauty as well," Ross says.

As you're enhancing your beauty inside and out, Ross doesn't tarnish the atmosphere with unattractive prices. Generally women opt for the $25 half-hour massage, but $50 hour massages are available as well. Manicures are $20 each, and other spa services are discussed on an individual basis.

Schedule your spa party at least two weeks in advance for better luck, though you can try your odds with shorter notice. If you will have services beyond massages, at least three weeks' notice is recommended.

Ross looks to expand omm… in the future with yoga instruction, nutrition education and wellness coaching. Basically, she's striving to promote health and wellness in as many fun, upbeat ways as possible. And who could complain about that?
