Perfecting Your Purses
You deserve to stay sane as you switch from one fabulous handbag to the next. Read how this posh product, developed by a local woman, helps make that happen.

After suffering from many handbag frustrations, local resident and experienced seamstress Lyn Marsteller set out to create the perfect purse. This purse would have pockets to keep her necessities organized and accessible, but the purse never came to be. Instead, Marsteller thought of something that would work better than "the perfect purse."

As a handbag aficionado, Marsteller realized that all of her purses boasted perfection in different ways — whether one bag's size fits her fancy for a specific occasion or the design of another makes for the perfect complement to her favorite outfit. So Marsteller created a match for her handbag companions — the Purse Perfector.111609FASHION2.jpg

With your busy schedule, you can switch between bags a couple times a day just going from work to the gym to dinner with friends, and that doesn't even touch on your borderline obsession with handbags themselves. The Purse Perfector keeps your life organized through it all as it is designed to hold all of the essentials of an on-the-go woman.

Two pocket-filled sections (one taller and one shorter) compose this fashion gizmo. The sections zipper together to create a middle compartment, or they can zip apart for more versatility. Smaller bags, for example, might only be able to hold the smaller section, so you can unzip it, slip it into your bag and go on your way. By unzipping only two sides, you can create a long, thin organizer to fit nicely in a suitcase or diaper bag.

For even more options, the Purse Perfector comes in six different colors with some neutral colors and some jewel-tone choices. Marsteller takes advantage of the choices by using both a berry and an aqua Purse Perfector. She specifically chose jewel tones to brighten up her bags and make her organizer stand out in her purses.

Marsteller also took her time selecting the fabric for her invention. She started with upholstery, but that didn't allow for an easy slip in and out. After various fabric trials, Marsteller selected the high-grade nylon used to make the Purse Perfector. This slick fabric makes for smooth transitions from bag to bag, and it stands to last as you can throw it in the washer to keep it clean.

The Purse Perfector stands apart from most if not all of the other purse organizers in that it holds a patent and is manufactured in the United States. Also, the Purse Perfector is packaged by the Easter Seals Work Force Center, which serves to provide employment opportunities for the developmentally disabled.
