Get Your Culture Fix Fast From the best jazz performance you’ve ever laid ears on to the most underground art exhibit in town, one local insider fills you in on Cincinnati's cultural opportunities with a free newsletter. As a well-rounded woman, you like to enjoy the arts and culture that the area has to offer, but finding opportunities can require almost more time than it's worth. Enter the Zeit Insider newsletter.
Produced on a weekly basis, this free newsletter comes from the masterminds of Zeit Productions, a more affordable alternative to an ad agency. "We provide promotional services and marketing services to those who typically wouldn't be able to afford a typical ad agency," partner Liz Wu says of Zeit Productions.
Beyond the services offered to their customers, Zeit Productions lives up to its German name of "time" by offering Wu's insider look at how Tri-State residents can spend their time. The Insider helps readers figure out where to go and what to do as it delves into the culture sphere of Cincinnati.
While supporting local artists and businesses, the newsletter also provides ways to support non-profits around town as many charity events are listed. Along with the charity events, the newsletter offers a wide range of opportunities that could encompass anything from a concert to a gallery opening to an upcoming audition for a part.
With the variety of options, the newsletter is bound to satisfy any entertainment preferences, including the budget-conscious. The Insider offers many cheap and even free cultural opportunities. "Many folks don't realize that they don't have to spend a ton of money to go out and enjoy a night of music or some sort of cultural event," Wu says. "So I do, do my best to try and find free entertainment to list in there." As Wu is an artist herself, she has resources to find events to list, but she also uses reader-generated contributions to provide a more thorough overview of the happenings around town. Readers can submit their ideas through a link in the newsletter to spread the word about additional opportunities.
And those listings will appear in more than just the Insider. The newsletter has its origins in Wu's "The Weekly Update (WU)" blog on Cincy Chic, which continues to run, so our readers also can take advantage of the wealth of information that Wu has to offer.
For quicker access, however, readers can subscribe to the Insider by clicking here, and they also have the option to visit the newsletter and access its archives through its Facebook group. With access to this cultural events gem, your social life is sure to start shining.
