Fighting with Friends (Not Against Them) Fight with your friends? We're not talking reality-show-girl-fights, here. There's a local facility that offers you and your friends the tools you need to ward off attackers. ![]() Fighting isn't always the solution, but when it comes to socializing and safety, it can make for a great answer with martial arts classes. Cincy Mixed Martial Arts and Fitness provides a variety of classes in various disciplines to help you and your friends gain valuable tools that will help you stay secure.
These disciplines range from boxing to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to Muay Thai. Boxing focuses more on using two fists to fight while Muay Thai involves eight parts of the body used for fighting. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu teaches ground fighting.
No matter the discipline, however, Cincy Mixed Martial Arts and Fitness classes will teach you focus and sharpen your reflexes. Each of these tools allows you to maintain composure in the event of an attack and prevent the attacker from having the upper hand.
In gaining those reflexes and focus, you and your classmates will gain one of the most important tools for victory -- confidence. Without confidence, you've already lost the battle. You need to know that you can win, and with the skills you learn through classes, you will be more certain of the end result. While learning those skills, the facility provides a positive environment and energy to nurture that confidence as it grows, says Chad Hinton, co-owner of Cincy Mixed Martial Arts and Fitness.
Even if you never find yourself in harm's way, these tools will help you in other aspects of your life, and the classes will provide you with the camaraderie or your group. Through fighting together and maintaining the same goal, you and your girlfriends can grow closer together, and even if you don't start the class with friends, you probably will end the class with friends. That same positive energy that nurtures confidence also nurtures friendships at Cincy Mixed Martial Arts and Fitness.
As you are having fun with your friends while increasing your awareness and strength, you don't have to be worrying about your kids. Cincy Mixed Martial Arts and Fitness offers child care six days a week. From Monday to Friday, the child care is open from 9 a.m. to noon and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. On Saturday, you can take advantage of the child care from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The care is only $1 per child with a maximum of three children per family and $2 in payment.
Cincy Mixed Martial Arts and Fitness also offers personal training and several group fitness classes, including hot yoga, Pilates, and step and tone.
