Well, this is the last week of my single status... last week of my last name... last week of introducing Pete as my finance. Ah! I can't believe this week is actually here! May 11, 2007 (at 6:05 in the morning!) Pete proposed to me and it's been lots of planning ever since. But here I sit with most of it done - girlfriends coming tonight to help me finish the rest - and this Saturday I'll be hitched!

It's kind of bizarre to think that I'll forever have a husband. Someone by my side through thick and thin. And like the above quote says, someone to always be around to annoy. :)

I guess I've always been such an independent person and didn't really think of myself as "needing" someone to walk with me on my path through life. I knew I could hatchet my own way through if the brush got thick. I'd fend of the grizzly bears with my pure brute strength (putting that spinning-two-times-a-week to the test!) And I could scavenger for my own food when I got hungry.

But just recently, when a very dear family member fell very ill, I - for the first time - truly let myself "need" Pete. I let him see me scared. I let him take care of me. I let him carry me on what I thought was "my" path. And now I don't see it at just my path or my journey anymore. I finally see it as ours. And at 6:30pm this Saturday it officially will be!

So, signing off... for the last time as a Storer!

You know the feeling...So, no matter what happens this weekend, however many details do not go as planned...remember that...it sounds so cliche..but the day is about the two of you! Best advice given to me: Take 15minutes for the two of you between ceremony and reception _alone..to reflect, maybe only time you will get to do this all night!
