Maureen Jacob is Cincy Chic 's managing editor residing in Florence, KY.

An avid animal lover and defender, she is also the Cincinnati Regional Coordinator for Mercy For Animals (MFA), a non-profit, national animal advocacy organization, based in Columbus. She is also contributing writer and editor for MFA's magazine, Compassionate Living.

A South Indian who was born on the island Antigua in the West Indies during Hurricane David in 1979, Maureen has been living in the region since 1995. A graduate of Boone County High School and Northern Kentucky University’s Journalism and Radio & Television B.A. program, Maureen was Editor-in-Chief of NKU’s college newspaper, The Northerner. Maureen has extensive editing, writing and video production experience, and has worked at MTV in Manhattan, and for the Discovery Channel.

A strict vegan, Maureen’s interests and passions include God and spirituality, pop culture, fashion, politics, world events, animal rights, veganism, cooking, alternative rock music and being a self-proclaimed TV junkie.
