Born and raised in the Queen City, Palacios, a senior at Ohio University, also expresses her passion for grammar as a copy editor for Speakeasy Magazine, the student-run online publication at OU. Palacios previously has worked as copy chief and entertainment editor for Speakeasy.

At OU, Palacios follows the News Writing and Editing sequence in the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism while she works toward a certificate in Spanish. In the spring of 2007, Palacios studied abroad in Cuenca, Ecuador. Since her study abroad experience, Palacios has returned to Ecuador three times.
